Associate Professor of the Department of History and Economics of the Multidisciplinary Institute of UFRRJ.
Graduated in History in Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (1987), has a Master’s and Doctorate in History from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2001), did Post-Doctoral research in CeNedic (USP), PPGHIS (UFRJ), and Duke University, as well as having been Mellon Visiting Professor in the same institution (2011-2012).
CNPq Researcher with a Productivity Fellowship and a Young Scientist of Our State Fellow (FAPERJ).
Dean of Research and Graduate Studies of UFRRJ (2017-2021). Member of the National Directorate of the National Forum of Deans of Research and Graduate Studies (FOPROP) as coordinator of the Southeast Region (2019-2020). Founding member of ANPUH GT World of Labor and member of Red Latinoamericana de Historia Global.
Areas of interest: History of Republican Brazil, Contemporary History and the History of Contemporary Latin America; History of Work – Rio Grande do Sul, Workers Party – Brazil, World War Two, Trabalhismo, Nationalism, and History of the Left.
